Using Beer to Sell a Home
A Chicago homeowner got frustrated trying to
selling her townhome and got creative, telling her Realtor she wanted to offer
$1,000 worth of food and drink at a bar and grill across the street from her
home.
To set her listing apart, the seller said, “In
a joking way, I thought, ‘Someone could walk home from the bar after a night
out.’”
Her Realtor, reportedly said that since the
offer to give the buyer $1,000 in beer was put on the table, there has been a
300 percent increase in showings She
said there were two to three showings in June, and nine since the beer bonus
was announced acknowledging that they do not know if the increase in interest
is related to the creative offer or not.
Creative marketing is an essential component in
today’s market and we are always “contriving” to come up with something new and
